Facebook Buys Consulting Firm Bolt Peters

Facebook has acquired user experience research and design consulting firm Bolt Peters.  The size of the acquisition has been kept confidential. Ethnio, a UX research outfit within Bolt Peters recently broke off as a separate company.  Bolt Peters currently has six employees, and the team will be joining Facebook Design. Bolt | Peters will be closing operations on June 22nd, 2012, says co-founder of the company Nate Bolt.

Nate Bolt and Craig Peters founded Bolt Peters in 2002. Since then, B|P has worked on over 200 interaction research and design projects with over 90 clients including Sony, HP, Electronic Arts, Volkswagen, Autodesk, AAA, Genentech, Esurance, and the Washington Post, among others, according to the company website.
