EY has announced an expanded alliance with SAP to focus on sustainability. The partnership aims to provide software solutions to organizations for developing strategies related to climate, nature, and social impact, the companies said in a statement.
Key offerings and initiatives
- Sustainability Control Tower: EY is collaborating with SAP to develop this solution, enabling organizations to move from recording sustainability data to taking actionable steps. The solution is designed to work with multiple regulatory frameworks and integrate sustainability metrics into internal performance evaluations.
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud: As part of the digital transformation journey, both companies are working to incorporate environmental considerations into various business processes, including finance, tax, supply chain, manufacturing, and human resources.
- Carbon Accounting and Green Ledger: EY will contribute its expertise in climate change consulting and carbon accounting to collaborate with SAP in further developing greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting capabilities.
- SAP’s Responsible Design and Production: EY will provide real-time updates on legal and regulatory matters concerning sustainability incentives, carbon taxes, and tax exemptions globally.
The partnership is also expected to focus on go-to-market activities to support SAP S/4HANA, the RISE with SAP solution, and the GROW with SAP solution, specifically concerning sustainability use cases and accelerators.
