EeBay Acquires Svpply.com

EBay has acquired Svpply (pronounced ‘supply’) for an undisclosed amount.  Svpply.com employees will work on merchandising, non-search discovery, and browsing, as part of eBay now. The Svpply team will join the eBay and Hunch teams in New York City.

Svpply is an online retailing site with a curated collection of products, among other things. Every one of the 1.1 million products in the Svpply shop section has been selected by hand by one of its members, boasts Svpply. The site brings in over 3,000 new products a day from all across the web, and unofficially represents over 70,000 stores and brands.

Investors in Svpply include  Spark Capital, Founder Collective, Andy Spade, Steven Alan, Jason Hirschhorn, Idan Cohen, Jonathan Kraft, Alex Gezelius, Adam Pritzker, Dennis Crowley and SV Angel.
