Digg founder Kevin Rose has been hired by Google, says Liz Gannes of AllThingsD, in an exclusive report. Mr. Rose’s mobile application development company based in San Francisco,  Milk, said on Wednesday it was shutting down Oink, its only product.

While reportedly Mr. Rose’s stint with Google begins this Monday, it is not immediately clear what will happen to Milk, whose investors include, among others, Google Ventures. According to the Milk website, the startup is still in the market for a senior software engineer.

Mr. Rose is also an angel investor, and involved withFab, Zynga, Ngmoco, Foursquare and Twitter, says AllThingsD.
