Department Of Transportation Gives $5.65M Grant For Tech Research

The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a $5.65 million grant to establish a national research center led by Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), with researchers from the University of Pennsylvania participating in the research as well. The grant is matched in part by the Hillman Foundation of Pittsburgh.

The University Transportation Center at CMU will focus on vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication technologies and sensing.
