HP has been awarded a five-year task order worth up to $548 million by the U.S. Department of Defense’s Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), to provide maintenance and support for mission-critical hardware and software located around the world.
With this agreement, HP will serve as the prime contractor and provide commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Hardware Support Services as well as Software, Maintenance and Integration Services. HP also will oversee the hardware and software — including servers, PCs, laptops, handhelds, printers, scanners, biometric devices and cameras — that DMDC uses in daily operations.
Software to be supported under this agreement includes the Defense Biometric Identification Systems (DBIDS), Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS), Noncombatant Tracking/Emergency Tracking Accountability System (NT/ETAS) and other systems mission critical to DMDC.
