Dell Is Working On Cloud-Based Master Data Management Solution

Dell is developing a cloud-based master data management (MDM) solution, building on its Boomi AtomSphere. The solution will offer improved capabilities to simplify data management within cloud and software-as-a-service (SaaS) application integration for medium and large enterprises.

Adopting a pure cloud approach, Dell Boomi’s MDM solution enables users to conduct all setup, configuration and management from a Web browser; in a single instance, multi-tenant environment. The solution will also feature a portable master data store that provides setup options and enables MDM for any combination of SaaS and on-premise applications.

Boomi master data management capabilities is currently in testing and will be available in 2012. Dell has not yet shared any pricing information.
