Dell Boomi appoints Steve Wood as chief product officer

Dell Boomi, a provider of cloud integration and workflow automation software, and an independent business unit of Dell, has appointed Steve Wood as chief product officer for the company.

Mr. Wood, who will lead product innovation for Boomi, came to the company through the acquisition of ManyWho, a cloud-based low code application development platform, in March last year. Previously, Mr. Wood was vice president of product management with Salesforce; having joined the company when Salesforce acquired his startup Informavores in 2009.

“Organizations are hungry for a unified integration solution that can keep pace with the demands of their business,” said Mr. Wood. “With Boomi, our customers have access to a solution to connect everything, so they can engage everywhere across any device or platform.”

In another development, Boomi said it is increasing its R&D spend and sales capacity 50 per cent YoY from 2017 to 2018.
