DataPath receives Leidos contract to support communications for the US Antarctic program

SOFTWARE SUPPORT—DataPath’s support to the US Antarctic Program includes installation of the Company’s MaxView® EnterpriseTM network monitor and control software. MaxView provides ground terminal operator interface and management functionality to earth station equipment by collecting real-time and historical data from field locations.

DataPath, a provider of advanced and secure communications solutions, has been awarded a prime contract from Leidos to provide software and integration support to a communications program located in the Antarctic.

Under the terms of the contract, the company has been designated as the software subcontractor for the Ross Island Earth Station (RIES) project. RIES is a multi-phased construction effort to establish a new geosynchronous communications satellite earth station at the National Science Foundation’s McMurdo Station, the Antarctic Program’s logistics hub; Datapath said in a statement.

The installation site is located at the southwestern base of the feature designated as Crater Hill on Ross Island, Antarctica. Leidos provides logistical support to the National Science Foundation-managed United States Antarctic Program through the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC).
