Dan Cooper to lead GIS, a Xerox company

Dan Cooper will lead Global Imaging Systems (GIS), a provider of business technology solutions, and a Xerox company. Mr. Cooper will report to Mike Feldman, president, North America Operations, Xerox, and is replacing chief executive Tom Salierno who is retiring in April.

Mr. Cooper has been with GIS for nearly 20 years, and became president of Virginia-based IT solutions provider Electronic Systems in 2001. In 2005, he assumed additional responsibilities in GIS headquarters and core companies. In May 2016, Mr. Cooper assumed responsibility for GIS field operations.

Mr. Cooper will be based in Tampa, Florida at the GIS headquarters, the company said in a statement.

Amazon will invest up to $4 billion in Anthropic, and will acquire a minority ownership stake in the company. The two companies also announced a strategic agreement aimed at the development of generative artificial intelligence (AI) models.
