Box partners with Google for image recognition capabilities

Box is partnering with Google to bring image recognition capabilities to enterprise content via Google Cloud Vision integration.

Images are the second fastest growing type of business content in Box, but their value has remained largely untapped, said the company in a statement. Leveraging Cloud Vision’s machine learning capabilities, Box customers can surface insights from images by detecting individual objects and concepts, capture text through optical character recognition (OCR), or automatically add keyword labels.
