Bessemer Venture Partners promotes Michael Segal to vice president

Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) has promoted Michael Segal to vice president. In his new role, Mr. Segal will continue to work with partner Ethan Kurzweil on early-stage startups in areas like developer platforms, consumer internet, and e-commerce.

Mr. Segal joined BVP’s New York office in 2009. Two years later, he took a break from the investment world to become a startup founder and product manager. Most recently, he was founder and CEO of Skylight, a consumer IoT platform. He re-joined BVP in 2015 in the San Francisco office.

Mr. Segal holds an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School, and a BA degree, summa cum laude, in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard College.
