Bank of England selects Accenture as technology delivery partner for RTGS

Accenture says it will be the technology delivery partner for the Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) service Renewal Program, working with the Bank of England. This follows a public procurement process which commenced in February 2019, according to a statement from Bank of England.

The renewal program includes building and integrating the RTGS platform and improving data access, among other things, according to Accenture.

The RTGS renewal program is being delivered in multiple transition states, and is expected to run until 2025.

The Bank of England has been operating RTGS since 1996. On average, the RTGS service processes approximately £685 billion worth of transitions each working day, says Accenture.
