BabyList Closes Seed Funding

BabyList, an online baby registry that allows users to add items from any store onto one registry, has raised $620K in seed funding. Investors in the startup include 500 Startups, Okapi Venture Capital, Altair Capital, Chris Messina, Mike Greenfield and Mike Seiman.

The investment will be used to further BabyList’s growth through customer acquisition and the development of new features, including mobile platform, says the company.

Founded by former Amazon.com software developer, Natalie Gordon, BabyList recently graduated from 500 Startups’ fifth accelerator program. BabyList users have put more than 450k items onto their baby registries this year and in May alone, over $500,000 in registry gifts were purchased off BabyList, according to the company. So far this year, 10,000 BabyList registries have been created.
