Avaya Government Solutions Launches Farmers Market Finder App

[Techtaffy Newsdesk]

Avaya Government Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Avaya, has launched its first mobile application for smartphones developed for the public market.

Farmers’ Market Finder taps the national U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) extensive database of markets that produce and deliver locally grown food, enabling people to search and locate farmers’ markets in their vicinity. The application provides information about specific goods sold in each farmers’ market, as well as addresses and directions to each market. The application, available now for iPhone devices and soon for Android-based devices, is now offered via the Apple iTunes App Store.

The new application – Farmers’ Market Finder – is part of Avaya Government Solutions’ goal to deliver innovative mobile applications that help government agencies repackage and disseminate information to large public audiences.
