AT&T wins U.S. Army communication services deal

AT&T won a contract with the U.S. Army to unify and modernize communications capabilities for nearly one million users globally.

The cloud-based managed communication capabilities include voice, video, chat, instant messaging, presence and screen sharing, says AT&T. Army personnel will have access to these services on demand from their desktops, laptops, and approved mobile devices.

The services will be delivered in both classified and highly secure unclassified formats.
