AT&T hires Brian Lesser to lead new advertising and analytics business

AT&T has named Brian Lesser to build and lead an advertising and analytics business, using the company’s customer data and growing content assets. Mr. Lesser will be CEO of the business and report to AT&T chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson.

Mr. Lesser joins AT&T from media investment management organization GroupM, where he was CEO of North America. He has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from University of Pennsylvania, and a MBA in Marketing from Columbia Business School.

AT&T’s acquisition of Time Warner is currently under review by the United States Department of Justice and competition authorities in certain foreign countries.
