Arrow Electronics using drones for warehouse operations

Electronics distributor Arrow Electronics is using Phantom 4 drones from DJI, at its two primary distribution centers in Hong Kong and Malaysia, says the company.

Arrow’s drone project combines drone technology with proprietary video technology to observe warehouse operations from a birds-eye view, according to Arrow. The drone project has already increased the efficiency of targeted processes by 82 per cent and eliminated more than 6.5 million walking steps in warehouse processes, since its first launch in late December last year, says Arrow.
