Armaments Research Company (ARC) was given a $1.5 milion Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II contract, awarded with AFWERX and sponsored by the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC).

Under this contract, ARC will work with government stakeholders using distributed, AI-ready ground sensor data to enable autonomous resupply as an application of manned-unmanned teaming in the modern battlefield.

The feature compliments ARC’s current decision platform, the Military Intelligent Response Application (MIRA), first developed with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), says ARC.

Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, ARC has developed IoT and predictive analytics capabilities for the military. It’s ARC Response technology uses a series of small, ruggedized sensors built into the grips of a firearm, that monitors and geolocates assets on the firearm level; according to the company website.
