Apple Launches Cheaper Entry Level IMacs

Apple introduced a $1,099 21.5-inch iMac on Wednesday.

The new machines come in three flavors – the 1.4 GHz model, with turbo boost up to 2.7GHz, 8GB memory, 500GB hard drive, and Intel HD Graphics 5000 ($1099);  the  2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5, with turbo boost up to 3.2GHz, 8GB (two 4GB) memory, 1TB hard drive, and Intel Iris Pro Graphics ($1299), and the 2.9GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 model with turbo boost up to 3.6GHz, 8GB (two 4GB) memory, 1TB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 1GB video memory ($1499).

All the machines have two Thunderbolt ports and four USB 3.0 ports.
