Amazon, Microsoft collaboration lets Alexa talk to Cortana

Amazon and Microsoft are teaming up to make their respective intelligence assistants talk to each other. Consumers can expect to turn to their Echo devices and say, “Alexa, open Cortana,” or turn to their Windows 10 device and say, “Cortana, open Alexa.”

Why? Well.. why not! “The world is big and so multifaceted. There are going to be multiple successful intelligent agents, each with access to different sets of data and with different specialized skill areas,” said Jeff Bezos, Founder and CEO, Amazon.

Alexa and Cortana will begin talking to each other later this year.
