Aleph Alpha raise $500M (Germany)

Berlin, Germany-based Aleph Alpha, a German company specializing in generative artificial intelligence (AI), has completed a $500 million Series B funding round.

The investment in Aleph Alpha was led by the Innovation Park Artificial Intelligence (Ipai), Bosch Ventures, and the Schwarz Group. Christ&Company, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, SAP, and Burda Principal Investments also participated in the funding.

The funding will aid in maintaining flexible customer options regarding infrastructure and cloud services, including on-premise and hybrid setups, says Aleph Alpha.

Aleph Alpha researches, develops and operationalises large-scale AI models for language, image data and strategy. The company was founded in 2019. You can find Luminous, Alelph Alpha’s AI language model here.
