AEye closes $16M Series A round

Pleasanton, California-based robotic vision company AEye has closed a $16 million series A venture round from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Airbus Ventures, Intel Capital, and Tyche Partners.

AEye develops advanced vision hardware, software and algorithms for autonomous vehicles. The company demonstrated its first solid state LiDAR scanner in 2013.
