Adobe, Google partnering to integrate Firefly with Bard

Adobe Firefly, a generative AI model for text and video from the Adobe stable, now features a new integration with Bard, Google’s experimental conversational AI service. As part of a collaboration between Adobe and Google, Firefly will also become the primary generative AI partner for Bard, allowing users to create Firefly-generated images directly in Bard and modify them in Adobe Express.

To ensure transparency in images generated through the integration, Adobe says it will use the Content Authenticity Initiative’s open-source Content Credentials technology. With the credentials enabled by default, every image created in Bard using Firefly will have built-in transparency, providing a digital “nutrition label” for content and helping consumers make informed decisions about digital content.

Firefly, which generates commercially viable, professional-quality content, is designed to be embedded directly into creators’ workflows in Adobe applications and now Google Bard. Creators can look forward to additional capabilities, such as text-to-image, vector re-coloring, and text effects in the coming weeks, says Adobe.
