Accenture Appoints Arun Sarin To Board

Accenture has appointed Arun Sarin to the company’s board of directors. Mr. Sarin, 61, was chief executive officer of Vodafone from 2003 until his retirement in 2008, and also served as a director of Vodafone from 1999 to 2008. With the appointment, Accenture’s board now comprises 12 directors, 11 of whom are external and independent. Pierre Nanterme, Accenture’s chairman and CEO is the board’s only internal director.

Mr. Sarin currently serves on the board of directors of Cisco, Charles Schwab, and Blackhawk Network.
