About.com has appointed Neil Vogel as chief executive officer. The founder of Recognition Media, Mr. Vogel was responsible for the transformation of the company’s flagship property, the Webby Awards.
Mr. Vogel also serves as a venture partner at FirstMark Capital. He has a BS in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
