Facebook Launches Texting From Messenger

[Techtaffy Newsdesk]

Facebook has introduced a new design for Messenger, which lets users text their contacts right from Messenger in Facebook itself. The service is currently available on some Android phones; an update to Messenger for iOS will be available soon, says the social networking behemoth.

Lucky users can now swipe their fingers to the left anywhere in the app to see who’s available and send a message. You can also add the friends you message most to the top of your Favorites so they’re easily accessible. A more conversational design for messages also makes it easier to see who said what.

The new Messenger is available for download from Google Play.
