Facebook has released its first Global Government Requests Report. The document covers the first six months of 2013, ending June 30, and Facebook says it will be releasing these reports regularly.
Facebook processed a total of roughly 26,607 requests from the governments of 74 countries for user data of about 38,954 users. The United States government sent 11,000 to 12,000 requests to Facebook for data on 20,000 to 21,000 users. 79 per cent of those requests were granted.
