Tripwire Acquires Information Security Company NCircle

Tripwire, a provider of IT security solutions, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire nCircle, a provider of information risk and security performance management solutions.

The acquisition is expected to close in April and is subject to the customary closing conditions. The terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed.

Abe Kleinfeld (CEO, nCircle): The combination of Tripwire and nCircle products results in the industry’s most robust portfolio of critical security controls including; File Integrity Monitoring (FIM), Security Configuration Management (SCM), Vulnerability Assessment (VA), and Log & Event Management.

In 2012, the two companies’ combined bookings were approximately $140 million, says Tripwire.
