Time Warner Cable Launches Social One

Time Warner Cable has unveiled an application that allows users to access social media platforms and instant messaging services, directly from their desktops. Called Social One, the free application integrates  with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, YouTube, and AIM, among other services.

The application lets users share links, images, and video from the Web with all of their social networks at the same time. It also allows users to preview and engage with email messages, wall posts, IMs, etc. and share conversations across networks by simply dragging and dropping web content.

Social One includes a  technology called Socialzine that lets users view their social networks and consumer portal content in a  magazine style layout. It was developed in conjunction with Yoono.

Social One is available as a PC desktop application, Mac OS application, and Firefox add-on.
