OutboundEngine, an automated marketing platform for small business owners, has closed a $16 million Series C funding round led by S3 Ventures, with participation from previous investors Silverton Partners, Noro-Moseley, Harmony Partners, Altos Ventures and Capital Factory. The company says it will utilize the funding to add talent to its Austin and Scottsdale offices, develop new product features, and pursue additional vertical markets. OutboundEngine has raised $33.8 million to date.
Social media analytics company NetBase has raised $24 million in Series E financing led by new investor Spring Lake Equity Partners. Thomvest Ventures, Altos Ventures, and WestSummit Capital also participated in the round.
Enterprise content marketing platform BrightEdge has closed $42.8 million in a Series D funding round. The investment was led by Insight Venture Partners. Existing investors Intel Capital, Battery Ventures, Altos Ventures and Illuminate Ventures, also participated.
BrightEdge, a search and social management platform for enterprises, has raised $12.6 Million in a series C round led by Intel Capital and joined by existing investors, Battery Ventures, Altos Ventures and Illuminate Ventures. The funding will be used to continue its team growth, which has doubled in size as well as help expand the company's footprint with offices in NY and London, says the company.
Kontagent has closed $12 million in Series B financing. The investment was led by Battery Ventures, with continued participation from Maverick Capital and Altos Ventures. Roger Lee, General Partner at Battery Ventures, will join Kontagent's board of directors. Kontagent will use the capital for R&D and will also invest in building additional products and features. Kontagent is the an enterprise user analytics platform for application developers, marketers and product managers across the social and mobile Web. The company says it tracks over 1,000 social applications, 150+ million monthly active users, and in excess of 15,000 messages every second. Kontagent is funded by ALTOS Ventures and Maverick Capital, with additional funding from Facebook and other angel investors.
