Oracle buys Dyn

Close on the heels of the Netsuite acquisition, Oracle has signed an agreement to acquire internet infrastructure services provider Dyn, for an undisclosed sum.

“Oracle already offers enterprise-class IaaS and PaaS for companies building and running Internet applications and cloud services,” said Thomas Kurian, president, Product Development, Oracle. Dyn’s scalable and global DNS is a critical core component and a natural extension to Oracle’s cloud computing platform, he added.

According to a statement released by the company, Dyn has more than 3,500 enterprise customers, including Netflix, Twitter, Pfizer and CNBC.
