New HP App Creates Photo Books From Facebook

[Techtaffy Newsdesk]

Snapfish by HP has launched SocialPics, a web application that curates the best moments from a person’s Facebook Timeline and displays them in a personalized book. SocialPics automatically identifies the most popular Facebook photos, comments and status updates and creates a 20-page, 8-inch x 8-inch custom photo book.

Helen Vaid  (General manager, Snapfish, HP): Sharing photos continues to be a fun way for people to connect with one another online.

The SocialPics application connects with Facebook and filters meaningful content from the user’s profile based on comments, “Likes” and other interactions, and automatically arranges the content in chronological order. Customers can customize the content by choosing a specific timeframe for their book, and selecting from two cover styles—soft cover ($19.99) or hard cover ($28.99).
