Most Of The Rest Of The World Can Buy IPads Now

[Techtaffy Newsdesk]

The new iPad will be available in South Korea and 11 additional countries starting this Friday (April 20), says Apple. In addition to South Korea, Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Panama, St Maarten, Uruguay and Venezuela will start selling the new iPad. Beginning next Friday, the new iPad will be available in Colombia, Estonia, India, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa and Thailand.

The ‘new’ iPad is technically iPad3; it being Apple’s third generation of tablets; but the company prefers to think of the model as a newer iPad. And you can’t really blame them, the difference between iPad2 and iPad3 are marked, but incremental at best, as well.

Apple products maintain their sticker price globally, and the new iPad Wi-Fi models will be available for $499 for the 16GB model, $599 for the 32GB model, and $699 for the 64GB model. The iPad Wi-Fi + 4G models will be available for $629 for the 16GB model, $729  for the 32GB model and $829 for the 64GB model. The iPads will come in black or white. Apple is reducing the cost of the iPad 2 to $399.

The new iPad will be sold through the Apple Online Store and through the company’s authorized resellers.
