LG, Jungo Sign Multimedia Middleware Deal

Jungo, now part of Cisco, a  supplier of automotive multimedia middleware and connectivity software solutions, has been selected by South Korean consumer electronics giant LG Electronics to provide multimedia middleware that will power infotainment systems to be installed in new automobiles from various carmakers.

The current agreement is the fourth such project between Jungo and the LG Electronics Car R&D laboratory. Through LG Electronics, Jungo has previously provided media playback solutions for both South Korean and global car manufacturers.

Jungo’s products enable semiconductor companies, device manufacturers, and OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) to develop products that connect with any portable device over various protocols for applications.
