Icahn, Blackstone Go Shopping For Dell

DellDell says its ‘go-shop’ period has elicited two alternative acquisition proposals, from investment fund Blackstone and business magnate Carl Icahn.

A Dell special committee has determined, after consultation with its independent financial and legal advisors, that both proposals could reasonably be expected to result in superior proposals, says the company.

Michael Dell has confirmed his willingness to explore alternative acquisition proposals. Negotiations continue..
