FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski Plans To Step Down Soon

FCC_Julius_GenachowskiFCC chairman Julius Genachowski is vacating his post. In a prepared remark while addressing the FCC staff, Mr. Genachowski said he would be stepping down as FCC Chairman in the coming weeks.

The announcement comes on the heels of FCC commissioner Robert M. McDowell resigning.

Mr. Genachowski was nominated in March 2009 to the FCC by President Obama.
