Farmeron Raises $1.4M Seed Round

Farmeron has secured $1.4 million in a seed round of funding. The round was co-led by Lee Hower of NextView Ventures and Jeff Clavier of SoftTech VC.  Farmeron’s previous investors also joined the syndicate in this round – Reshma Sohoni and Carlos Espinal of Seedcamp, Dave McClure and Christine Tsai of 500startups, and Robin and Saul Klein of The Accelerator Group.  Angel investors Naval Ravikant of AngelList, Evan Nisselson of LDV Capital, Niko Hrdy and Taavet Hinrikus also participated in the round. Farmeron was represented by Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe on the deal.

Fameron provides software and analytics as a service for the farming and agriculture business. Farmeron has spread to more than 450 farms in 14 countries in the last five months, says the company. It has also recently closed a distribution partnership with Germany-based Neelsen Agrar, which provides Farmeron  with additional distribution to farmers in more than 30 countries.
