Chase Acquires Bloomspot

Chase Bank, a subsidiary of J.P. Morgan Chase, is acquiring Bloomspot. The size of the deal was not shared, but the acquisition is pegged at a reported $35 million.

The acquisition is expected to close in early 2013.

Bloomspot is a service similar to Groupon, and it matches it members to local and national merchants. Bloomspot operates in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC, Boston, Houston, Seattle, Denver, and San Diego.
