Microsoft has inked a patent licensing agreement with Motorola Solutions. The license provides worldwide coverage under Microsoft’s patent portfolio for Motorola Solutions’ devices running the Android platform and Chrome OS operating system.
Former FCC chairman Julius Genachowski has joined the board of Syniverse, a telecom company in the mobile space. Based in Washington, D.C., Mr. Genachowski is a managing director in the Carlyle Group’s U.S. Buyout team.
SanDisk has made a $1 million donation to the College of Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. The donation will fund recently completed renovations to Cory Hall, home of the college’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, and the undergraduate student Computing Lab, which has been renamed the SanDisk Computing Lab.

Online streaming and DVD rental site Netflix says it will be increasing its monthly price by one or two dollars, depending on the country.
