Bloomberg Has Largest Server Side JavaScript Deployment In World

Financial information and news company Bloomberg says it has the largest server-side JavaScript deployment in the world, with 22 million lines of JavaScript code. The company also runs one of the world’s largest private networks with over 20,000 routers across its network, and processes 45-50 billion ticks per day of financial data.

Bloomberg is now opening a dedicated R&D office in San Francisco, which will ultimately employ 100 developers. The center will be led by Zach Haehn, a senior member of Bloomberg’s R&D operation. Bloomberg currently employs over 3,000 technologists globally.
