Amazon Unveils Fire TV Set-Top Box

Amazon has launched Fire TV, a $99 HDTV set-top box, that pegs the retail giant in competition with players like Apple TV, Roku, and Chromecast.

Fire TV, will let users watch content from Amazon’s video library on their televisions. Consumers can access videos from sites like Netflix and Hulu Plus, and listen to music with Amazon MP3, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and TuneIn, among other services. Fire TV will also let users play games like Minecraft; the average price of paid games being $1.85.
